Research course: Qualitative Method, 7,5 hp, March 20 – May 22 (six days of teaching in Örebro) Headed by Media and Communication Studies and Sociology at Örebro University Language: English

The course deals with research design with a point of departure in different qualitative research approaches. We discuss: Diverse methods of data gathering and analysis; demands associated with data gathering depending on choice of methodological approach; various methodological starting points; possibilities and limitation of different approaches.

The course includes: interview studies, document studies, ethnography, netnografy, discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, visual analysis, multimodal analysis, conversation analysis, and feminist perspectives on qualitative research.
