Quintin Hogg Trust PhD scholarships in a) media and communication
\nresearch and b) art & design<\/p>\n
The University of Westminster Graduate School is pleased to announce a
\ntotal of 22 new MPhil\/PhD scholarships in support of high-quality,
\ninnovative early career research.<\/p>\n
Applications are now invited from eligible candidates for a number of
\nthese scholarships within the Westminster School of Media, Arts and
\nDesign, to commence in September 2017 on a full-time basis for three years.<\/p>\n
The scholarships fund an annual tax-free stipend of \u00a316,000 plus payment
\nof full tuition fees for Home\/EU or Overseas candidates.<\/p>\n
Combining world-leading research and innovation with practice-led
\nengagement and impact, the School provides a vibrant global research
\nenvironment in a purpose-built campus in Harrow, within easy reach of
\ncentral London.<\/p>\n
Aiming to develop, in particular, research that is internationally
\nrecognised and contributes to innovative practice and public engagement,
\nthe scholarships will be available to those submitting proposals which
\nfall \u00a0within the remit of the following research institutes:<\/p>\n
Communication and Media Research Institute (CAMRI):
\nOne of the leading research groups in media and communication with a
\nwide and expanding range of research interests, focusing on research
\nareas such as digital\/social media, global media, media policy,
\npolitical economy of the media, media history, creativity, media
\nindustries and economy, cultural policy, critical theory, media philosophy.<\/p>\n
Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM):
\nThe UK\u2019s leading centre for research in art and design, and a leading
\nprovider of both practice-based and theoretical PhD research in
\nphotography, film, digital media, ceramics, visual art, fashion,
\nart-science relationships and moving image work.<\/p>\n
