Vacancy for a Professor in Journalism
The University of Jyväskylä, Finland, is seeking for applications for Professorship in Journalism at the Department of Communication. The professorship is based on a contract of employment to be filled as of January 1, 2016, in effect until further notice. The deadline of application expires on Feb 1, 2015. The professor’s job-specific salary component is between 4617,75 € and 6803,52 €//month. In addition, a personal performance-based salary component, maximum of 46,3% of the job-specific salary is also paid. The professor is specifically expected to have expertise in the areas related to the future of journalism, such as media and journalism in a networked and multicultural society, effects of social media on journalism and its relationship with the audience, journalistic innovations, as well as journalism and globalization.
