Doktorandtjänst i journalistik på Södertörns högskola
Nästa sommar startar forskningsprojektet “Symbiotic leader-media relations?” vid Södertörns högskola. I projektet undersöks relationer mellan politisk ledning och ledande medier i fyra länder med skilda historiska erfarenheter och olika mediesystem – Sverige, Finland, Polen och Litauen.

A PhD course will be held March 25 in Helsinki right before the Helsinki Photomedia research conference (http://helsinkiphotomedia.aalto.fi).
The FSMK board is pleased to announce that a number of grants for the conference fee are available for doctoral students that have papers accepted at the Nordmedia13 conference. To be eligible for the grant you have to a) be a member of FSMK b) provide a letter of acceptance (or similar) to Nordmedia13 c) provide a bank account to where the payment should go. The deadline to apply for the grant is May 6th and you send your application to michael.karlsson@kau.se. Our organizing principle for giving out grants is to give something to everyone eligible. This means that your grant will probably not cover the whole fee, please keep that in mind when planning for the conference.

The aim of this three-day long doctoral seminar is to give an advanced introduction to some of the most important North American and European research paradigms within the study of communication defined as a social practice in strategic and organizational contexts. The focus will be on the following four paradigms or research traditions:
The Swedish association for media and communication research (Föreningen för svensk medie- och kommunikationsforskning, FSMK) are pleased to announce the initiation of the FSMK Doctoral Dissertation Award, to be given at the annual FSMK conference. The purpose of the award is to honour outstanding doctoral dissertations in the areas of Media and Communications and Journalism research (or a closely-related field), completed at Swedish institutions of higher education. Awarded dissertations will exhibit exceptional levels of originality and intellectual depth in terms of theory, methodology and/or analysis.
Föreningen för svensk medie- och kommunikationsforskning (FSMK) utlyser härmed FSMKs Avhandlingspris, som kommer att delas ut på FSMKs årliga konferens. Målet med priset är att lyfta fram en excellent doktorsavhandling inom forskningsämnena Medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap (MKV) och Journalistik (eller annat närliggande område), som är framlagd vid en svensk högskola. Den utsedda avhandlingen ska visa exceptionell originalitet och intellektuellt djup i termer av teori, metodologi och/eller analys.
